Our Team Serving the Northeast
Kimberly Roy-Canning - Regional Director, Northeast Region
Kimberly Roy-Canning leads the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation's efforts to grow mission programs and bring important PBTF resources to children battling brain tumors in the Northeast region.
A native of New England with experience producing theater in New York, Kimberly earned her bachelor’s degree from American University and her law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law. She has 25 years of combined experience as an attorney, as managing director and legal counsel for a theatrical production company, and more recently as the first Executive Director of the Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance, Inc., serving directly within the cause for more than six years as the organization’s leader.
Kimberly was inspired to work in service of brain tumor patients and caregivers after losing her father to brain cancer and is particularly passionate about helping kids, and the family and friends who love them. She works collaboratively with the national office in advancing PBTF’s mission and is committed to building relationships with the medical community, researchers, and other partners in the community who make such a difference in the lives of kids and families facing a brain tumor diagnosis.
John D’Ambrosio - Campaign Manager, Northeast Region
John D’Ambrosio manages the Northeast region's Ride for Kids and Starry Night events in Pennsylvania and New England. He joined the PBTF's team in Jan. 2019, but has been committed to the cause for more than 10 years.
As a pediatric brain tumor survivor, John first started participating in PBTF events as a Star, then began volunteering on event task forces in the Philadelphia area. While volunteering, he earned a BA in Criminal Justice from Temple University and worked as an IT Help Desk Support Analyst at GSK. His personal understanding of the PBTF's events and mission impact make him an excellent addition to the Northeast region’s growing team.
