Bereavement

feature image

“Don’t lose hope. When the sun goes down, the stars come out.”

When we learn that a child has passed away, he or she becomes one of our Eternal Stars and part of our remembrance program. With the help of generous volunteers, we honor our Eternal Stars after their passing by sending a remembrance angel, generously donated by Demdaco, to the family and year after year through monthly remembrance cards.

We also host an annual Celebration of Life Luncheon as an opportunity for our bereaved families to connect with others who understand the feelings associated with the loss of a child. This is also a time for us to give the families resources and tools as they cope and move forward in their grief, all while remembering and celebrating the life of their child.

PBTF-GA offers a private Facebook community where bereaved parents and caregivers can connect with each other, support each other and discuss the daily challenges of grief. To request membership, please email us.

We also offer additional printed grief resources. If you are interested in receiving a copy or learning more about these, please contact us at 404-252-4107 or by email.
