Jeffrey Skelton, Chair - LexisNexis Risk Solutions
Jeffrey Skelton is Senior Vice President, Client Engagement, Insurance, for the risk solutions business of Lexis Nexis. LexisNexis insurance solutions assist insurers with automating and improving the performance of critical workflow processes to reduce expenses, improve service and position carriers for growth. Skelton leads the insurance sales and client engagement team with responsibilities for the adoption of underwriting, claims, analytics and big data solutions into the auto, commercial, homeowners, life and telematics markets.
Skelton joined the organization in 2002, and prior to that was a lobbyist, serving clients in the insurance and banking industries as they navigated innovation and compliance within legislative affairs and the regulatory environment. He also served as government relations director for the Georgia Department of Insurance. In this role, he was responsible for liaising with state legislators, the Governor’s office, other state agencies, consumer advocacy groups and insurance industry representatives to develop and implement the department's legislation and consulting on issues impacting the Department, consumers and the insurance industry.
An insurance industry veteran, he has been an industry speaker on the use of credit data, the importance of analytics, evaluating risk and other insurance topics.
Skelton graduated from St. Lawrence University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and studied executive business at NYU’s Stern School of Business. Skelton lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife and two daughters. An active volunteer with local civic organizations and charities, he currently is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation – GA Chapter. He has previously served on the Murphy-Candler Girls’ Softball Association Board of Directors as well as on several DeKalb County boards including the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board, Cable Advisory Board, Civic Center Authority and the Board of Elections.
Beth Chancey - Alfa Insurance
A native of Alabama and a mother of two daughters and a grandson, I currently serve as Senior Vice President of Property and Casualty Operations at Alfa Insurance located in Montgomery Alabama.
My involvement over the years through church, leadership teams and nonprofit boards has allowed me the opportunity to support many local organizations. I am also an avid supporter of our Alfa Cares campaign which is a philanthropic service for our communities in Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi. Our company and our families have been touched many times by cancer and other illnesses in adults and children. Life brings many challenges and opportunities our way and it is my passion to assist organizations like Alfa and PBTF to provide assistance to those who struggle just to exist during these hard times. I look forward to working with PBTF to expand awareness and support of the many programs that are assisting our families in need today.
Bob Finke - Mitsubishi Polyester Film
Greenville, South Carolina
Bob Finke grew up in the Chicagoland area and moved to Greenville, SC in 1996. Bob has worked for Mitsubishi Polyester Film, a group company of Mitsubishi Chemical, for 36 years and is currently the Director of Business Development. Married to Jodi, they have two boys, Kyle, who lives with his wife Sadie in Chicago and Kurt who is mentally handicapped and lives at home. Kyle and Sadie had a beautiful baby daughter named Emma. Sadly, Emma passed away at 13 months after battling ATRT brain cancer. Bob’s goal in working with PBTF is to help raise funds for research in the hope that cures can be found. Sadie said it best – Our hope is to make life easier and more comfortable for the patients and families dealing with pediatric brain cancer.
Mark Gamis - Booz Allen Hamilton
Mark Gamis is a Senior Vice President in Booz Allen Hamilton’s Civil Government business. He leads a team of more than 1,100 consulting professionals supporting enterprise program operations and strategic initiatives for US Government Civilian agencies. Mark has more than 24 years of experience supporting commercial and public-sector clients driving mission, innovation and business modernization strategies while ensuring sound program, financial, risk, quality, and schedule management.
Mark is passionate about helping families afflicted with pediatric cancer to find a sense peace and safety among a supportive community of volunteers and other families that have experienced the same unknowns so they can better navigate through the journey ahead for their child and other family members. Mark earned both his B.B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of Iowa. Mark joined the PBTF Board of Trustees in 2018.
Peter Krause - Marsh & McLennan Agency
Peter Krause is President of Marsh & McLennan Agency’s (MMA) Southeast region. He brings over 30 years of experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry in underwriting, marketing production and management. He has worked in a corporate capacity with national insurance companies throughout his career.
Before joining J. Smith Lanier & Co. in 2007, Peter was an Executive Vice President with Willis managing the Southeast marketing centers. Prior to 2003, he was the Central Region President at Kemper where he was responsible for Commercial Lines underwriting operations in the Midwest, Southeast and Southwest.
Peter is currently serving on the board of directors of the Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers (CIAB) and since merging with MMA, he is participating on internal teams for various strategic initiatives. He has recently completed representation with National Agency Councils for: AIG, Chubb, Hartford, Key Risk, United Heartland and Liberty Mutual.
Peter is a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a degree in Business Management & Marketing.
