Starry Night Walk to Cure Childhood Brain Tumors Fundraising Toolkit

Use the power of email and social media to make this year’s Starry Night the brightest for our Stars, the 13 children and teens diagnosed each day with a brain tumor.

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month Challege

During September's Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation’s Starry Night program will take a stand against the deadliest form of childhood cancer and honor the more than 28,000 children and teens who are currently battling a pediatric brain tumor diagnosis. We challenge each of our Starry Night cities to raise $10,000 in just ONE week (Sept. 9-15) -- for a collective goal of $60,000! Sign up for a Starry Night in your city to get started, then use the following social media templates, graphics and sample email to rally your friends and raise significant funds to support life-changing research and family support programs. (Not in a Starry Night city? No problem! Sign up as a virtual walker with the Starry Night closest to you!)

Need even more fundraising ideas? We have 101 of them! Check out our helpful guide.

Subject line: I’m shining a light on kids with brain cancer this Childhood Cancer Awareness Month – and I need your help!

Email body:

Dear Friends and Family,

This month is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. To honor this month and the 13 children who are diagnosed with a brain tumor every day, I’m raising $10,000 in just one week for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation’s [City] Starry Night Walk to Cure Childhood Brain Tumors.

I can’t do this alone, so I’m asking you to please donate to my personal fundraising page at [insert your fundraising page URL].

I greatly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress.
