About the Starry Night Walk to Cure Childhood Brain Tumors

The Starry Night Walk to Cure Childhood Brain Tumors supports the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation’s fight against the deadliest form of childhood cancer.

Why a walk? Starry Night is an accessible event for everyone -- walkers, runners, teams and families. Every Starry Night event offers a walk, while some also offer 5K runs and a 50 yard dash for kids. Check your local event page for more information!

Why do we light lanterns? Starry Night participants who raise $100 or more are invited to join pediatric brain tumor families and other supporters in lighting the nighttime sky with lanterns. This powerful sunset ceremony celebrates our hope for a cure and shines a light on the PBTF’s Stars – the 28,000 children across the country  living with a brain tumor diagnosis.

How will my fundraising help? As the world's leading nonprofit dedicated to children and teens with brain tumors, the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation’s mission is simple, yet powerful: Care. Cure. Thrive. Your fundraising makes this possible, providing care for families, fueling research to cure childhood brain tumors and helping survivors and families thrive.
