The 2016 New England Ride for Kids raised $54,227 for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation on Aug. 28.
More than 600 people on 400 motorcycles joined the event at the Bose Corporation headquarters in Framingham, Mass., to show their support for local childhood brain tumor survivors.
The New England Ride for Kids Stars were Chloe, Connor, Ian, Kailyn, Levi, Lisa, Matthew, Ryan and Ryen.
The guest speaker was Mark W. Kieran, MD, PhD, Director of Pediatric Medical Neuro-Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Children’s Hospital Boston. The crowd also heard from Stars like Chloe.
"Being told you have a disease like cancer is a terrifying thing, but it's the people you meet, the friendships you make and the experiences that make it a little less terrifying,” she said.
