Rainy weather didn’t deter motorcyclists in South Carolina from showing their support for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation over the weekend.
The riders who gathered for the S.C. Midlands Ride for Kids in Lexington on April 19 were there to honor local brain tumor survivors Anna, Conor, Kaylyn, Logan, Nathaniel and Peyton.
“These kids need our support because cancer makes you feel like you’re on an island,” said Kaylyn’s mom, Pat.
Riders at the event are part of a nationwide effort to make a difference in the lives of children fighting brain tumors. Funds raised at Ride for Kids events help the PBTF fund medical research and family support programs.
