President and Chief Executive Officer
Courtney Davies leads the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation’s fight against the deadliest childhood cancer as the foundation’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Since joining PBTF in December 2019, Davies has led the Board of Directors and staff through the pandemic, positioning the organization and its mission for growth in support of the 28.000 patient families currently navigating a child’s brain tumor diagnosis.
A solutions-oriented fundraising and development executive, Courtney brings over two decades of nonprofit leadership experience to this role. Her consistent record of accomplishment in organizational growth, fundraising, donor development, strategic planning, and volunteer and staff management is critical in helping PBTF save more children’s lives through research and family support.
Prior to joining PBTF, Courtney served the Type 1 diabetes community for twenty years: most recently as JDRF’s Vice President, U.S. Field, providing overall management and fiscal responsibility for JDRF’s chapter structure and its 500+ talented development professionals.
In her personal life, Courtney is passionate about spending time with her husband Jeff and children Owen and Cayleigh which means baseball fields and volleyball courts in and around the state of North Carolina. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, San Diego, an Executive Education Certification from Columbia University’s Not-for-Profit Management program, a Master Trainer certificate for the “Mastering Relationship Management” consultative sales curriculum, and a pending certificate as an Authentic Leadership Coach.
