President and Chief Executive Officer

Courtney Davies leads the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation’s fight against the deadliest childhood cancer as the foundation’s President and Chief Executive Officer.

A solutions-oriented fundraising and development executive, Courtney brings more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience to this role. Her consistent record of accomplishment in organizational growth, fundraising, donor development, strategic planning, and volunteer and staff management are critical in helping the PBTF save more children’s lives through research, family support and community engagement.

Courtney joined the PBTF in 2019 from JDRF, where she most recently served as Vice President, U.S. Field, providing overall management and fiscal responsibility for JDRF’s chapter structure and its 500+ talented development professionals. Her JDRF career started in the Greater Bay Area Chapter where she was hired as a special events coordinator. Over the years her performance earned her multiple promotions including Executive Director, National Director of Corporate Relations and Event Marketing, and Regional Director.

After spending nearly two decades working in or in support of the fundraising field, Courtney knows what drives meaningful donor relations, sold-out ballrooms and high impact boards: It’s not mastering the art of asking for money. It’s how well you connect the mission and its impact with volunteers and donors.

“It is an understatement to say I’m excited to leverage my experience and passion to further advance the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation’s important mission,” says Courtney. “The opportunity to lead the outstanding teams at PBTF as we work together toward creating a world without childhood brain tumors is both humbling and inspiring.”

In her personal life, Courtney is passionate about spending time with her husband Jeff and children Owen and Cayleigh and enjoying all that the beautiful state of North Carolina has to offer. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from University of California, San Diego, an Executive Education Certification from Columbia University’s Not-for-Profit Management program, a Training Certificate from the American Society for Training & Development, a Master Trainer certificate for the “Mastering Relationship Management” consultative sales curriculum, and a pending certificate as an Authentic Leadership Coach.
