Robert E McNamara
National Director, Fundraising and Community Engagement
Bob is responsible for the leadership of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation’s national signature fundraising campaigns and special events, volunteer and community relationships, and managing the foundation’s fundraising staff. He brings over 20 years of business and nonprofit management experience in strategic planning, fundraising, special events, program development, and team leadership.
Bob joined PBTF in 2015 and has worked with the organization’s Ride for Kids, Starry Night Walk, and Vs Cancer campaigns. Bob led PBTF’s launch of the Illinois Chapter in 2016, eventually expanding it to the Central Region in 2019 and adding a full slate of programs and support for patient families in the area, joining them in their journey and working side by side to make an impact. In his current role with PBTF, Bob has found that elusive niche of combining his experience and skills with a personal passion and commitment to mission. A successful fundraiser, Bob is most proud of the support PBTF provides to Star families.
A lifelong Chicagoan, Bob has strong ties in the area and is connected to many local organizations through his own volunteering. Currently, he and his wife, Jeannie, are busy raising their four children.
